Apply for your marriage license online

• There is a $65 application fee

Second
Schedule an appointment with a license agent

• After applying for the application you’ll need to set up an appointment with a license agent.

• You’ll meet with this agent when you’re on island to get your marriage license.

Third
Hire an officiant or “performer” that is approved by the state

• Find a list of officiants here: https://emrs.ehawaii.gov/emrs/public/find-performer.html

Fourth
Meet with your license agent

• You and your fiancé will need to attend

• The meeting will take about 30 mins

• Bring a printed copy of your application receipt and a government-issued photo ID (drivers license or passport, for example)

• After the meeting, your marriage license is valid for up to 30 days

• If plans change you can use your license to get married on any island
